bioRN Life Science Cluster
BioRN is the premier life science cluster in the Rhine-Neckar region around Heidelberg – one of Europe’s most dynamic biotechnology hubs. The network brings together over 160 members, including global pharmaceutical companies, top-tier academic institutions, innovative startups, SMEs, and public stakeholders.
BioRN drives health innovation by connecting science and industry, supporting entrepreneurship, and enabling effective knowledge transfer. Key initiatives include beLAB21/22, which accelerates the translation of academic research into therapeutic development, and BioLabs Heidelberg, a cutting-edge coworking lab and office space for early-stage life science ventures.
As a central innovation platform, bioRN enhances the regional translational ecosystem, improves conditions for startups, and helps attract global talent and investment to the region.
