Start-Up Labs Hamburg GmbH is a dynamic innovation hub located in the heart of Science City Hamburg-Bahrenfeld.
As a joint initiative of DESY, the University of Hamburg, and the City of Hamburg, we specialize in supporting deep-tech and life science start-ups emerging from cutting-edge research.
Our mission is to empower hardware driven deep-tech companies through of all stages by providing them with the infrastructure and community they need to thrive. We offer:

DESY Innovation Factory BioSpace
The BioSpace of the DESY Innovation Factory offers 220 sqm to work on your life science based prototypes and ideas. It offers wet-lab co-working spaces, and specialized labs for cell-culture, microbiology, biomoleculre preparations and analysis and chemicals. SLB operates the "DIF-BioSpace" at the tecHHub building to support innovation in the field of life sciences.
MakerSpace
The Makerspace of the DESY Innovation Factory offers 120 sqm to work on your prototypes and ideas. It offers co-working spaces, team offices, and workspaces for 3D printing, mechanics and electronics.
